La Peau de l’Ours from Domaine de la Marinière-Chinon AOC (In testing now!🔬). Renaud Desbourdes took over his parents estate in 1999- he is an independent winegrower in Chinon and they are working towards their Ecocert organic certification. No chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used on the vines.

This 100% Cabernet Franc is made from twenty-year-old vines from their gravelly parcels of land. A short maceration in concrete was done to extract the more fruity side of the grape. Fruity and lush yes, but the terroir of Chinon smugly laughs in the background when you chill this wine down and glug, glug, glug the entire bottle with such joy!
